Service and Maintaining Your Equipment

Motion Index Drives has built a tradition of excellence in engineering, designing and manufacturing of cam-driven devices that have gained a reputation of being the most robust indexers available. We are continuing to build upon that tradition so you have the most reliable and long-lasting equipment to meet your manufacturing needs.

To ensure you further benefit from our product we offer services to guarantee it will continue to perform at your highest expectations in your assembly for years to come.

Our onsite service is performed by a Certified Motion Index Drives technician with a minimum of 5 years’ experience. Our customers also benefit from a full warranty on refurbished units. All components will be adjusted to original manufactured specifications when applicable. All of our technicians can offer preventative maintenance programs providing health assessments and are available for 24 hour emergency breakdowns.

During your yearly health assessment our technician evaluates components of your machine to keep it running smoothly.

  • Brake air gap in the gear motor
  • Pre-load of top dial
  • Each position is evaluated for any backlash
  • Cam-followers are inspected for wear
  • Belts and pulleys where applicable
  • Verify applicable VFD settings
  • Oil is inspected for contaminates

It is always a good idea to stock up on spare parts in the case of an emergency to decrease downtime in production. Also if parts are on hand they can easily be replaced during a health assessment. The most common spare parts to have on hand are:

  • cam followers
  • seals
  • bearings

We also offer…

  • Retrofitting
  • Training courses for large project implementation
  • Replacement motors
  • Recycling of old turntables
  • Design support for new projects
  • Engineering support for new and existing projects

TIP: To save time and convenience, Motion Index Drives Auto Lubrication system is available to keep your rotary table running as smoothly as possible by keeping the top dial greased every day, from 3 to 6 months or a full year.
