RT160 Flexible Index Drive with 100% Repeatablility

The video shown features a recent customer’s index table project, a RT160 flexible unit, with an aluminum dial plate, and added aluminum angle to extend the measuring radius to 1 meter. The unit was programmed to rotate 180 degrees and back through a Bosch servo motor with absolute encoder and drive. At this distance, the unit has 100% repeatability, as shown by dial indicator (indicator resolution of 0.001’’). The positioning was solely based on the encoder position of the motor.
